Overview

 

Maxis Micro Compression Stockings are medical-grade, graduated compression stockings intended for people with existing venous disease or for post‑operative support following vein procedures. They are offered in Knee Length and Thigh Length styles (including a silicone topband option for thigh length), are available in Open Toe or Closed Toe, and come in two leg lengths (Normal and Short). Sizes cover a wide range (1–8 plus special Plus sizes for larger thighs), and colour options typically include Bronze and Black

 

Improves venous blood return and reduces venous hypertension.

Reduces ankle and leg swelling (edema) and associated discomfort or heaviness.

Lowers risk of complications such as deep vein thrombosis in at‑risk situations (when used appropriately).

Key Features

Microfibre construction: Made from a fine microfibre yarn (polyamide and Lycra) in which Lycra fibres are woven around so they do not directly contact skin — reduces irritation and improves comfort.
 

Graduated compression: Highest at the ankle, decreasing towards the top to encourage venous return and reduce swelling.
 

Available compression classes: Typically offered in Class 1 and Class 2 (surgeons commonly recommend Class 2 post‑surgery).
 

Options: Knee length or Thigh length; Open Toe or Closed Toe; Normal or Petite length; Silicone topband for thigh style; sizes 1–8 (and plus sizes).

Clinical Indications & Uses

Treatment/support for vein conditions: Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) prevention, phlebitis, varicose veins, leg swelling/edema, venous ulceration management/support.
 

Postoperative use: Recommended as adjunct therapy after sclerotherapy, endovenous laser ablation (EVLT), radio‑frequency ablation, vein stripping and other vein surgeries — typically Class 2 compression is recommended by surgeons for post‑op support.
 

Chronic venous insufficiency (CVI): Suitable for ongoing management where compression therapy is indicated.
